ELSA International Alumni Events
ELSA International Alumni organises various events and networking opportunities with the aim of bringing together former ELSA members from around the world.
As a member of ELSA Hungary Alumni, you also have the opportunity to participate in the International Council Meeting and other international events organised by ELSA.
Alumni day
The first Alumni Day was organised in 2024 with the aim of facilitating the exchange of experiences between different generations of ELSA members.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Dr. Attila Tárkány-Szücs, founder of ELSA, and Dr. Miklós Klenancz, former President of ELSA Budapest.
The programme provided members of the ELSA community with the opportunity to learn from the experiences of the invited guests and gain a deeper understanding of the history and development of ELSA.
Alumni night
The Alumni Night was organised for the third time in autumn 2024. The aim of the event was to facilitate interaction and strengthen the connection between Alumni members and current ELSA members.
The main topics of the event were the presentation of the SELS concept and the introduction of future development opportunities in the field of Alumni relations. The meeting contributed to building the Alumni community and provided an opportunity to discuss future initiatives and possibilities.
As a member of ELSA Hungary Alumni, you have the opportunity to participate in Alumni events, the National Council Meeting, and other events organised by ELSA Hungary.
Q&A
1. Who can become a member?
The primary eligibility criteria for ELSA Alumni membership are having previously been a member of one of ELSA Hungary's Local Member Groups and having completed your university studies.
2. Rights of Alumni
a) to participate in the activities of the Association as determined by the Board;
b) to make use of the services provided by the Association as determined by the Board;
c) to participate in events organised by the Association as determined by the Board;
d) to attend meetings of the Board upon invitation.
3. Alumni Representative
The official representation of ELSA Hungary Alumni is carried out by the Alumni Representative. The Alumni Representative is appointed by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Board for a term of two years.
Upon the expiry of the mandate, the Alumni Representative may be reappointed.
4. How can you become a member?
To join the ELSA Alumni community, please complete the membership application form available on the Alumni Online section of the ELSA Hungary website.

dr. András Hunvald
I graduated from the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University in February 2024 and have since been working as a trainee lawyer at Rácz and Pál Law Firm. In addition, I contribute to the work of the Institute for Legal Studies through project-based cooperation.
My connection with ELSA was established during my Erasmus year in Antwerp, where I became fascinated by the international environment and decided that I wanted to take part in further international mobility opportunities. This is how I discovered ELSA.
Although I joined the organisation relatively late, during my fifth year of university, I aimed to make the most of the opportunities provided by ELSA. As a result, I participated in a Winter ELSA Law School in Austria, two Summer ELSA Law Schools in Azerbaijan and Denmark, as well as two International Council Meetings in Malta and Greece.
Beyond international mobility opportunities, I was also highly interested in ELSA's professional activities. I participated in the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference (OTDK) and other legal competitions, and I was honoured to receive the Hungarian award of the European Future Challenge 2023, organised by ELSA Austria and Cerha Hempel.
Looking back, however, the greatest thing ELSA has given me is the friendships I have built through the organisation — friendships that continue to this day, whether through ELSA events or beyond.
